Weddings
The First Congregational Church of Palo Alto welcomes weddings in our beautiful Sanctuary.
Our ministers, David Howell and Eileen Altman, will be glad to work with you to shape a ceremony that reflects your faith and your unique relationship to one another. Our organist, Joe Guthrie, meets with couples to plan music of your choosing. If you would like additional information about weddings or particular dates, please contact the church office.
Fees
The total fee for a wedding is $1,450. This includes sanctuary rental, and fees for pastor, organist and wedding coordinator.
These fees include the ceremony and rehearsal, candles, custodial fees, two premarital sessions with the minister, and consultation with the organist. For church members, the church rental and pastor fees are waived.
Receptions
We do occasionally make our Social Hall available for wedding receptions For more information about fees and availability, please contact the church office.
Outside Ministers and Wedding Coordinators
We welcome ordained Christian ministers from other churches and denominations to officiate in wedding ceremonies in our church. If one of our ministers does not participate in a wedding, the officiating minister is asked to consult with our pastor before the ceremony. If you have your own wedding coordinator, we welcome their participation, but we still require the use of our coordinator for issues related to church policies, audio system use and supervision of the facilities.
